This is the most complicated page I have designed. I cut out various parts of my dominant, then put them over the design of the logo of the store. There are many parts to this page, so I had to balance that texture without making the design feel jumbled.
I wanted to keep this page from being another boring book review design, so I created the art of David and Goliath at the bottom. It was my first time working with Adobe Illustrator, and it helped me to gain confidence with the program and improve my skills as a designer.
I had fun designing this page simply because of the content of the story. I chose a full-page dominant to capture the mood of the movie that my writer was reviewing, and tried to keep that theme relevant throughout the rest of the page.
